Japanese Language Students' Association, Pune
JALSAP, a site for Japanese Learning people to share information regarding Japanese Language and culture

About JALSAP

JALSAP JApanese Language Students' Association of Pune was formed on 24th December, 2000 by some ex- and current students of that time of Pune University Japanese department.

One of the main objectives of this association is to give the students a platform to share useful information between past and present students of Japanese language and be in touch with Japanese field and have a communication with their classmates through Internet.

Inauguration day of JALSAP was celebrated at Ranade Institute Hall on 24th December, 2000. About 125 students (ex- and current students) attended this program.

An email-based discussion group of JALSAP is formed at Yahoo Groups, to share information with all who are in India and in rest of the world. Through this email group, we will inform all about what is happening in Japanese Language field in India and especially in Pune.

Before this, we had the Group at E-Circles. E-Circles site was closed down, and we hence shifted our JALSAP activities to Yahoo groups.

After moving to Yahoo groups, we changed the objective of JALSAP little bit. The renewed objective was to avoid sharing personal information on the group and try to share information like Japanese culture , job-openings related to Japanese language.

Any member can freely post information related to Japan, Japanese language and Japanese culture to the group. More and more members are sharing lot of useful information and the number of such messages is growing day by day.

JALSAP group is successfully serving the purpose of sharing information as well as trying to give openings to the people who know Japanese.
